There is much information in the bible about God raising up Israel or doing this or that for the sake of his name. God wants his name proclaimed among the nations. Yet, the Jews and many Christians have done just the opposite. They have obscured God's name. They will not say it, spell it out in text form, or otherwise use his name. They will not even use the word "God" but use "G-d" instead. To obscrue God's name is near blasphemy and should not be done!
